The IDCA Evening TT series will begin again on Tuesday 2nd April 2024. There will be an extra event this season bringing the total to 25. There will be two events in one week on the 2nd and 4th July (this is a 25 mile TT) and on 30th July and 1st August when we switch from Tuesdays to Thursdays. Still 12 events to count as we’re bound to have some cancelled.
The leagues are no longer restricted to non member riders so everyone has the chance to score points towards the leagues. The same six clubs will be promoting events and Plomesgate will be hosting an additional 25 mile TT in early July. The entry fee remains at £5. The CTT takes £3 of this in a levy for each rider so £2 goes to the clubs. Please see the rider instructions page here

A working FRONT and REAR light and HELMETs are MANDATORY for ALL events. This is now a CTT regulation so it WILL be enforced.
There is a revised regulation regarding head down riding. Please take note in the rider notes but essentially, keep your head looking where you are going!
Things to note: These are all “Come and Try It” events which means day members no longer pay a surcharge and you don’t have to be a member of a CTT Affiliated club. You DO NOT change age category during the season and your category for the series is based on your age on the FIRST event of the season i.e. how old you are on the 2nd April 2024.
We are starting on Tuesday 2nd April 2024 until 1t August when we switch to Thursday for the Plomesgate events. The final 2up and presentation will be at Henley on Tuesday 3rd September. There is an additional 25mile TT on Thursday 4th July on the Tunstall course. We will have a total of 25 events. The first 24 events will count towards the league, the last event will be a “fun” 2up 5 mile TT followed by the presentation of trophies. 12 events will count to your points total unless events get cancelled.
Juniors/Juveniles go free but make sure you send a parental consent form to the organiser BEFORE you ride. Please remember that vehicles preceding, accompanying or following competitors, even juveniles, is not allowed.
Entries open 6 days before the event and and although we can now accept entries on the day it is much easier to administer entries in advance so preference will be given to advance entries.
All events start at 6:30pm (30 sec starts for the 1st two event then 1 minute starts for all the rest)
Road bike category will follow the CTT recognised definition which is published here -> https://www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/pages/road-bikes Nobody is out measuring wheels or scrutineering equipment, this is down to the individuals deciding for themselves what constitutes the road bike category so be honest with yourself with what is within the spirit of the competition.
